Audition Notice - Hundred Days

Theatre Elision is seeking non-union singer/actor/instrumentalists for our Spring 2025 production of “Hundred Days” – Book by Sarah Bancher and Music & Lyrics by Abigail and Shaun Bengson.

“Hundred Days” is an exhilarating and heartrending true story about embracing uncertainty, taking a leap, and loving as if you only had 100 days to live. With magnetic chemistry and anthemic folk-punk music, creators Abigail and Shaun Bengson explore a fundamental question: how do we make the most of the time that we have?

Please prepare a one-minute song in the style of the show. You are welcome to sing from the show. To get a sense of the style, the soundtrack can be found here. With this song, you may either use our piano accompanist (please bring sheet music) or accompany yourself on one of the required instruments.

In addition (unless your preferred instrument is drums), prepare to play an instrument from the above list using one of the cuts posted below.  You are welcome to play cuts from more than one of the required instruments, but only required to play one. You are also not required to sing along with your cut since the vocal part may not be the right fit for you.

The cuts included below are as follows:
Cello – The Ramp Bridge – measures 1-8
Acoustic Guitar – I Will Wait for You – measures 1-14 AND Hundred Days – measures 16-40
Bass – Hundred Days – measures 33-48
(Note: We are looking for an upright bass, though some tunes utilize a bass guitar, which would be optional)
Accordion – Hundred Days – measures 41-49
(Note: If accordion is your preferred instrument but you don’t have access to one, we can provide one on the day of audition.)
Piano – Hundred Days – measures 33-49
(Note: The piano score is written in a lead sheet format, and the recordings have little to no piano in them. We are open to hearing your interpretation of how to translate this into piano.)

Please provide us with a headshot and resume, including your vocal range and what instruments on the list you can play proficiently. You can either bring those to the audition or email them to us at: theatreelision@gmail.com
