2020-2021 Season Auditions
Theatre Elision is seeking Equity and Non-Equity actor/singers for our 2020-2021 season (September – May). The season will include five productions requiring a wide range of acting and singing styles.

Actors of all ages, gender, abilities, races and ethnicities are welcome and encouraged to audition.
Theatre Elision operates under an AEA SPT Tier (1) contract. AEA Actors are paid $274 per week for full productions. Non-Equity Actors are paid a stipend. Stipends range from $800 to $1200 for full productions, with a per performance fee for A Flight of Short Musicals. Total time commitment for each show will be between three and six weeks, with between 3 and 12 performances per show.
Our budget cannot accommodate travel expenses or housing for out-of-town actors.

Rehearsals begin in mid-August
This play with music had its US premiere Off-Broadway in 2016. Four very personal vignettes (Lullaby, Narcissi, The Great Secret, Occupy) with connecting threads are presented through storytelling, acting, and song. Rosabella Gregory will join this Midwest premiere to perform her original music.

Rehearsals begin early October
A camera breaks and four friends drink in an interwoven tale spanning seven centuries, with a murderous sister, a treehouse astronomer, a bear, a subway, and the ghost of Thelonious Monk Cast members present the story and music as a "concept album" and accompany themselves on keyboard, violin, ukulele, guitar, mandolin, and percussion.

Theatre Elision first presented this special song cycle at the Southern Theater in 2019 to critical acclaim. It is the story of a woman who walks the shoreline alone, obsessively collecting every washed-up object she finds. Each item sings with the memory of a secret sea-set story.
